Mission Statement

Thank you for coming here to learn more about The Space, and why it’s here!

Years ago, I was gathering groups of women each month to attend beautiful, creative events together throughout London: pottery nights, dance workshops, cooking classes, and more. Every month brought something new, but the behind-the-scenes work was tough! I had to track down instructors, coordinate bookings, and find affordable venues that were warm, welcoming, and available. Most spaces were either too expensive, too booked, or just not quite the right fit.

That experience stayed with me. I knew I wasn’t the only one trying to bring meaningful gatherings to life… and struggling to find the right space to do it.

In 2022, I began renting an empty studio in London with a personal dream: to have a space where I could dance freely, whenever I wanted, and also offer that space to others to build their own dreams—without the high rental costs I had faced in the past! It needed work (the bathroom was lime green and had a laundry tub for a sink!), but I saw its potential. I renovated it, added gorgeous artwork LINK and a personal touch, and slowly transformed it into something clean, beautiful, and open.

Once the venue was ready, I began offering weekly ecstatic dance events for my community. Later, I added guided meditations, workshops, massage, HELD sessions, and more. Others started using the venue, too, and it quickly became so much more than just a studio… it was The Space!

Since then, The Space has held an incredible range of offerings: yoga, dance, karate, RC car racing, puppy yoga, art classes, therapy sessions, business meetings, healing work, and more and more! It’s a blank canvas that’s constantly changing based on the creativity and passion of the people who walk through its doors to run their events here.

The mission and vision close to my heart is to create a welcoming place for people to connect with themselves, each other, and what matters to them. I love seeing people grow! The low rental rate, community focus, clean open space, and flexible set up allow you to bring your vision to life.

My favourite part of this journey has been watching new businesses find their footing here—people who start with one rental a month and gradually build into full-fledged offerings multiple times a week. The Space is an incubator for growth, a container for creativity, and a launching pad for community connection.

I feel honoured to welcome every person who walks through the doors, and it’s a joy to help people create something meaningful and beautiful here. In person connections are so important, and it’s a blessing to be able to contribute to more of this in London.

Thank you for being part of this story and this space – The Space!

Many blessings,

xo Alexis
